In 1991 Byron Lars started his label with a small collection of sportswear. Lars finds inspiration in unexpected and unlikely sources, making his designs edgy and unique. Since their debut they have been greeted with much enthusiasm and praise.
His more recent focus has been on a contemporary line and pricing structure, with Byron 
Lars Beauty Mark. The line includes Lars’ trademark juxtapositions in shirts, shirt dresses along with knits, sportswear, and dresses. His designs are highly sought after and have long been adored by celebrities and Hollywood. They have also been chosen for important occasions by the First Lady, Michelle Obama. He is praised for his fresh point of view and body conscious silhouettes.
“When edgy fashion is steeped in something familiar, it becomes far less alienating to the consuming public,” says Lars.
